Successful radical surgical resection of a giant neurofibroma

Large neurofibromas often cause significant patient morbidity and present a unique challenge to dermatologists surgeons. Radical resection offers the lowest rate of recurrence but is not pursued due high risk intraoperative hemorrhage difficulty in repairing large defects. Subtotal debulking are more frequently performed, leading higher rates recurrence. This case highlights particularly neurofibroma demonstrates how surgical techniques like preoperative embolization advancement flaps can improve outcomes radical neurofibromas.
